Boxes!

For awhile we've had our TV stand in the family room barricaded fairly well.  We didn't want Drew banging on the glass, plus there's a lot of crap up there that he doesn't need to be playing with (remotes, DVDs, etc).  Well he's been getting really clever at getting around the barricade.  Fortunately we recently got a large package (an early birthday present for Drew - Thanks Michelle, Steve and Dylan!) that we haven't opened yet.  We decided the box could help us reinforce the TV barricade.  Plus we figured it'd give Drew a chance to play with the box too.  As you can see, he's still found a weak spot in the barricade.  Luckily, once he gets in this tight spot, there's not much for him to do and he actually gets sorta stuck.  He can get back out but only with some encouragement from Momma or Dadda.

A different box has captured Drew's attention too, and he has reached a new level playing with an old diaper box.  He's pushed this box around before, but he was really getting into it this past weekend.  He even sat in the box!  Brian made the mistake of zooming Drew in the box around the house.  Of course Drew loved it and kept wanting to race, but poor Dadda was tired after a few laps!

I'm not exactly sure how this happened, even though I was sitting right there, but it did.  And it was awesome.  I peaked at Drew under the box and he started laughing!  He knows how silly he is!  (And yes he started crawling around with the box - like he was a turtle!)

This box also apparently makes for a good place to sit.  I found Drew sitting on the box a few times this weekend.  He wasn't even really doing anything...just sitting on the box.  I guess he likes being taller and sitting up off the floor.

Such a cutie!!
