As I mentioned in yesterday's post, we got to Grandma and Grandpa's house Friday afternoon. Because of the wedding, we left fairly early on Saturday and didn't have too much time to visit. Drew took an afternoon nap and went to bed at his normal time, so that didn't leave much time to play. We got back from Akron Sunday evening. Drew was ready to move around after being the car for 5 hours, but he was still pretty tired. Thankfully, he got a really good night's sleep on Sunday, and he was ready to go on Monday!
Drew explored all over on Monday. We had most of his toys out in the front room, but he wanted to check out the hallway and kitchen. He was in explore mode! He found the dogs' basket and water dish just like he does at home - stinker! Drew was starting to warm up to the new people and the house! He was ready to give Grandma and Grandpa a hug!
Monday morning we saw some deer feasting on the grass in the yard. After I took this picture, 2 more deer showed up! They were having a party!
We really wanted to get a picture of the 4 generations of Lusbys. This, of course, is much easier in theory than in practice. This was my best shot. (Drew would not keep his fingers out of his mouth - we think he's teething again).
Finally, Drew decided he'd let his Great Aunt Paula hold him. It took Drew all weekend to warm up to Paula, but he finally got there, and we even got some pictures!
Drew was such a good little guy. He was such a trooper. He spent so much time in the car and met so many new people, but he handled it well! He handled the new places well and seemed to handle skipping a nap or two. What a good little guy!
We had to leave Monday afternoon to catch our flight. Drew was a little fussy for the plane ride this time. He was pretty tired at this point, and I think tired of being confined! Eventually we got him to sleep and he slept most of the time on the plane. He was pretty excited to get home though and go back to sleep in his own bed!
Thanks to Grandpa, Grandma, and Aunt Paula for hosting us and feeding us for the weekend! We had a great weekend!
