You are growing up so fast! Today you are 9 months old. You have your 9 month check up on Friday so I will update your stats then.
Weight: 21 pounds 3 ounces (90%)
Height: 29 inches (75%)
Again, we've had so much fun this past month. You are sleeping very well these days. You have started to go to bed a little later - about 7:30 and will sleep until 6:30 or 7. You are pretty regular in your naps. You are napping for an hour in the morning and one to two hours in the afternoon. Your naps at school are usually shorter than the ones at home (you have some noisy classmates now).
You are a great eater! Some days you will skip your 4:30 am feed, but you haven't completely outgrown it yet. You are nursing 4-5 times a day for about 4-6 oz. You are now eating a jar of fruit for breakfast, a jar of veggies for lunch and a jar of veggies or a dinner mix for dinner.
You've tried cooked pasta noodles and liked them. You've also had some avocado which you tolerated. You still don't care for bananas! You still love your puff cereal too.
This past month you moved rooms at school and are in the bigger room. You have most of the same classmates, but new teachers. You transitioned easily and without any issue! You love playing. Most days at school, when I pick you up you are happy to see me but go back to playing right away. You really like straps right now, like the ones on the high chair or in your carseat. You will probably figure out how to unsnap yourself before long.
You like to explore. You have frequently crawled down the hallway and left Momma and Dadda in your dust! You are attracted to the dogs' toy basket and their water and food dish. This is giving us opportunities to teach you, No. Most times you are unfazed when we don't let you play with this stuff. You also like to sit and look at your books. Sometimes you will read them too. You are getting really good at putting the balls into your giraffe! You no longer knock the giraffe over either. It's hard to say what your favorite toy is at this time because you play with them all! Really you like anything that's new. If you haven't seen a toy or object before, it can keep your attention for 10 or 15 minutes!
You are walking with your truck!!! You can now push that all around the house. Sometimes obstacles give you pause and may start fussing when the truck stops and you can't get it moving again. You are cruising! Everyday you are getting better with your balance and strength and you really will be walking before too long. This past weekend you stood on your own for the first time. Your attention was on the toy you were holding so I'm not even sure you realized what you were doing!
Stanger anxiety! You first showed signs of stranger anxiety last month. Sometimes you are just unsure if you are around a lot of new people or in a new place and other times you start crying. You eventually warm up to these new people though, and when you do come out of your shell you charm their pants off!
You have your 3rd tooth (finally). The fourth one is about to break through as well. These are your top two teeth.
You are so amazing Mr Drew and it's so fun watching you learn new skills. I can't believe you're already 9 months!
