Alexia and Tim's Wedding

This past weekend was quite a trip for us.  My dear friend Alexia was getting married in Akron on Saturday.  We decided to take the opportunity to visit Brian's grandparents while we were sort of in the area.  We left way too early Friday morning (we got up at 3:30!) and flew to Louisville.  Drew did really good but he was definitely tired.  He took a short nap on the first flight.  We had a short layover in St Louis.  While there, we met up with Grandpa Barry.  Brian's grandparents live about 2 hours from Louisville in Williamstown, and we got to their house around lunch time.  It was a quick day and then the next morning we got up early to head to Akron which was a 5+ hour drive for us.

We got to the hotel with just enough time to get ready for the wedding.  Here's Drew, pre-wedding, ready to go!

The wedding was very nice.  The ceremony was outside which was nerve-racking because of the weather!  It was raining pretty hard right before the ceremony but stopped in time for the ceremony to occur outside. Here's some shots from the wedding.

Adorable ring bearer and flower girls.
Beautiful bride and her pappa!

Honored to have a part in the big day - giving a reading

The ceremony was very lovely.  Afterwards, we headed back to the hotel and then headed to the reception.  It was fun catching up with some old college pals!  Drew was a champ for the whole night.  He was pretty tired, but he was such a good little guy.
Drew was too tired for pictures at this point.

The next morning, we met some of my OU friends at Bob Evans (our tradition!) for breakfast.  It was a nice way to catch up more since it was a little difficult to at the reception (at least for me!).  After that, we headed back to Kentucky!

(I decided to split the weekend in 2 blogs, so the next post will be the Williamstown visit).
