We had a low key weekend this past weekend. Momma bear was happy about that because August has been hectic and eventful so it was nice to have a full weekend at home. I have been ordering things like crazy lately it seems and Friday a big box of diapers showed up. Well this box was new so of course Drew had to check it out. I opened the box and removed the plastic bag buffers and let him go to town. I think he entertained himself for a good 15 minutes with the box (that is a lot!). He opened and closed the box lid about 80 times!
The weekend wasn't all fun though. Saturday morning, while Drew was crawling around in the kitchen (tile floor), he slipped. At first we thought he just banged his forehead, but as Brian was consoling Drew, Drew's nose started bleeding. The poor little guy hit his nose. It really hurt and Drew was crying big time. After some snuggling and kisses, he felt better. Poor guy.
We did some other activites besides playing with boxes this weekend. Drew was very talkative all weekend. It seemed that he woke up Saturday jabbering away and didn't stop until bedtime on Sunday! At one point, he was sitting and reading his book. He was turning the pages and talking away!
Brian's still been taking a weekly picture of Drew. This is the picture from Sunday. Drew was in a good mood before and after the picture, but for the picture he wasn't having any part of it! As soon as Brian put the camera away, Drew started smiling, squirmming and chatting.
