More Shenanigans

I feel that I haven't been blogging much lately.  We've been pretty busy this past month and it doesn't help that one of us has been sick pretty much continuously.  Drew thankfully has just had a running nose the past two weeks.  I had a stomach bug last week and Brian is battling a sinus infection this week.

But despite all of that, Drew is having the time of his life!  He LOVES being mobile.  He doesn't mind being held, but after a few minutes (unless he's reallly tired), he'll get pretty squirmy because he wants to be down crawling around.  (This should make for an interesting plane ride next month!)

Yesterday, Drew started cruising!  Cruising is where the baby stands and "walks" by holding on to things.  Drew cruised all the way down the coffee table in the morning.  Then that evening he cruised the length of the futon.  He's going to be walking for real in no time.  Oh let the adventures continue!

Drew has been extremely happy lately.  Over the weekend, he was giving us big smiles.  I like to call this smile his chipmunk smile (we have yet to capture a picture of it).  His cheeks get puffed all the way out and his eyes get squinty when he smiles this big smile.  It's super cute!  Sometimes he accents the chipmunk smile by sticking his tongue out which just magnifies his cuteness.

Here's Drew playing with his toys.  This entire area in our family room is covered in his toys.  He was entertaining himself and just sitting there with his toys.  This momma was happy to have a break from chasing him around the house (which happens when he's in his explore mode).

You may have noticed the empty box of diapers in the back of the picture.  This has essentially become a toy for Drew.  It's not his favorite toy by any means, but he enjoys to have options.  Last night he was playing on the box (he can pull up on it) and he was trying to climb on top of it!  He was not successful, thankfully.

Awhile ago, we removed all the books and stuff from below our coffee table and replaced them with Drew's books and toys.  Last night he apparently saw something under there that he needed to play with and in he went!  I was impressed that he came back out without getting stuck or bumping his head!
