Chicago Trip

This past fourth of July, we headed up to Chicago to visit my brother and his family and help celebrate their new addition, Aria!  We left for Chicago Tuesday evening.  Drew was a champ again on the flight.  He was having so much fun.  He was making friends with all the passengers around him because he was giving them great big smiles.  It was late for him, but he wasn't being fussy at all!  Finally he fell asleep in Dadda's arms with about an hour left of the flight.  Brian ended up carrying him through the airport because he was still sleeping when we landed.  Drew then woke up when Brian sat down at the luggage carosal.

Drew fought sleeping a lot last week while we were away.  I wasn't pushing it too much as long as he was in a good mood.  And for the most part he was.  Drew did fall asleep in Kendall's arms Wednesday afternoon after he skipped his afternoon crib (too much going on to sleep!).  Then he was transferred to Grandma's arms with little Aria.  Drew was also pretty good when he was sleeping in his crib at the hotel so that was nice as well.

The Grandkids

The hotel had an indoor pool, so one day we decided to take Drew swimming.  This was his second time in a pool.  The first time was a little chilly and he wasn't particularly fond of it.  This time he had a blast!  It took him awhile to warm up to the idea, but once he did he started splashing and had a great time!  I think it helped that he could see his cousins Cole and Kendall splashing around next to him.

Drew and Kendall became good buddies while we were there!

And here's the babies in their strollers!

We had a really good trip and were sad to leave.  It went so fast!  Drew was really good traveling and while we were there!  We heard, "He's such a happy baby!" more times than we can count!  He really is!  Drew now has trip #2 under his belt.  I hope our next trip to KY/OH goes just as smoothly!
