Drew,
We can't believe another month has come and gone. You are so amazing, and we just have so much fun being your parents.
You are 21 pounds according to the Wii!
This month has been a little trying as your first teeth have poked through, but now that you are over that, you are rewarding us by giving us extra smiles and giggles!
You are eating solids twice a day now. About a half jar of fruit mixed with cereal at lunch and about a half jar of veggies at dinner. So far you love all the fruit you've tried. You don't seem that crazy about green beans, but love peas, carrots and sweet potatoes! Your appetite remains healthy. In fact when you were dealing with your teeth you lost your appetite which was a sure sign something was bothering you. Momma is still nursing you and you eat about 5 times a day about 5-7 oz at each feeding. You are still eating in the early morning, but are stretching the time between feedings at night to 11 hours! Then you have your solids at lunch and dinner time.
You are sleeping pretty good, but had a hiccup when you were teething. You are still going to bed about 7 pm and on good days sleep until 7 am, but at least 50% of the time you get up before 7. You are only napping two times a day now, although every once in awhile you'll sneak a third cat nap in still. You are napping pretty regularly for about an hour in the morning (usually starting at 9) and then usually two hours in the afternoon (usually starting at 1).
You are wearing 6-9 months clothes now. You were able to wear 3-6 months sized shorts for quite awhile, but just last week we decided those are now too small too.
You learned to sign the word milk! We have been signing a few words for you for a few months now (milk, more, diaper, sleep) and about 2 weeks ago you started making the milk sign when you are hungry!
You are crawling now! You are not very sure you can do it so you aren't unstoppable yet, but you are close. You are taking about 3 "steps" before you fall forward or over. It won't be long now until you are chasing Stella around the house!
You have been on another plane ride! You've now been to New Mexico and Illinois. You are a great little traveller. Next up is Ohio/Kentucky!
You are enjoying daycare and your three classmates are your friends. When you see them, you'll give them a great big smile, my little social butterfly! The other day your teacher told me that you the entertainer in the class - you entertain yourself and the others! Everyone loves what a happy baby you are!
You are still blowing bubbles and raspberries but don't do it nonstop like you did when you first learned how. You're favorite toy seems to be your football. You still love your jumper, but I think you prefer playing on the floor so you can be more mobile. You are quite fond of the dogs, and while you can't play with them yet, you seem to like when they give you kisses, and you like to try to grab them when they are close enough.
You really like jumping up and down when someone is holding you, and you really love when we pick you up and put you way up, above our head!
It's been a big month for us since you learned to sign milk, had both front bottom teeth pop through (two at one time!), and started to crawl! That's a lot of milestones for one month.
We love you our little Drew Bear!
Momma and Dadda
