We had a really nice Christmas! The weekend before, Drew and Mommy made cookies so that we would have some to share with Santa. Drew did a really good job measuring the flour and sugar. Then he had to take a break and play, but he came back and helped with the sprinkles.
We had our big dinner on Christmas Eve. Since we were leaving the day after Christmas, we figured this would give us one extra day of eating leftovers. We had ham and when I told Drew we were having ham, he kept saying, "No like it!" It took me awhile to figure this out...Drew recently got Green Eggs and Ham, so he was talking about the book! He did like the ham after all!
Of course, we remembered to set out cookies and milk for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer before we went to sleep.
We were all up early on Christmas Day! There were a lot of presents to open! Santa brought Drew a tricycle so he saw that as soon as he woke up and came downstairs. He liked riding around on it, although he is just a tad too short for it. We had to take a break toward the end of presents because Drew had enough opening. He wanted to play with everything he unwrapped of course. Then he wanted to hijack Mommy and Daddy's presents and tried to unwrap all the gifts! Then toward the end, he decided he was done and wouldn't open his last 2 presents. We decided that meant it was breakfast time.
Drew was really excited about getting a broom! He unwrapped it and immediately ran and got the bucket.
Drew was also really excited about this train set that he got from Grandma and Grandpa.
What a great Christmas! Drew got so much stuff, that he hasn't even had a chance to play with everything yet! In fact, we decided to put some toys back because there are just too many. Probably after the new baby comes will be a good time for a fresh round of toys for Drew :)
Merry Christmas!
