Ear Infections

Last weekend, Drew had a cold and some eye discharge.  The discharge lasted for a few days so we took him to the doctor on Tuesday to have it checked out.  The poor little guy had pink eye in both eyes, and a double ear infection.  We didn't even know he wasn't feeling well (besides the cold/runny nose) - he's such a trooper.

He did really well at the doctor and only started crying when she looked into his ears - normally he starts crying as soon as the doctor talks to him!  After the appointment, Drew and Momma stopped for some frozen yogurt.  This was only Drew's second visit to Tutti Fruitti, but he acted like he owned the place once he walked in!  He must have remembered it from the last time!

I was also surprised to see that Drew is now 32" and weighs 27 lb 9 oz!  I thought for sure this second year, he would slow down a little, but it really doesn't seem that way at all!

This weekend, we could tell that Drew was starting to feel better.  He napped better and was in a great mood most of the weekends (less tantrums!) - super giggly.  And he was eating better!  We had a pretty laid back weekend and watched a lot of soccer on Sunday. 

Drew started sitting on the dogs this weekend.  I think he got this from reading Clifford, because Emily Elizabeth is always riding Clifford.  Well, he sat on Heineken.  Heineken was fine with it until he started bouncing up and down.  Next, it was time to sit on Stella...

Stella was also fine with being sat on for the most part.  When I snapped the above picture, Stella was mid-yawn - that's why she looks like a crocodile!
