Happy half birthday! We can hardly believe that another 3 months have gone by! You are getting to be such a big boy!
You weigh close to 28 lbs (27 lb 9 oz at last doctor visit) and are ~32 inches tall. You grew at least an inch in the last 3 months according to your growth chart! You are still able to fit into 12 months clothes, but some of the shirts are getting small. 18 months clothes generally fit you, but some of the shorts are a little big on you.
You eat all the time and love food! I think your favorite is still fruit (bananas, mango, and recently blueberries). But we recently learned that you also love green beans! You will usually eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and will almost always chow down on some mac and cheese. You are a really good eater when we are eating out as well.
You are still a great sleeper. You sleep about 11 hours at night and take about a two hour nap in the afternoon. Occasionally you have woken from a bad dream, but mostly you sleep soundly and go to bed without fussing.
You still love your books! You have recently suckered momma into reading two books at bedtime. It is usually Clifford and one other book. Although not as often as you used to, you will still grab a book and crawl into momma or dadda's lap. It's really hard to say which book is your favorite, because you really do like most of them.
You are saying and signing a lot of different things these days. You can sign: apple, banana, hungry, please, more, milk, all done, no, help me. You can also say: momma, dadda, dog, more, milk, yes, no, good, ok, car, cat, bird, banana, bubbles, hi. There's still a lot that you can't say, but you understand pretty much everything. Not much slips by you. Sometimes you get frustrated when you can't communicate what you need to.
You give the best hugs. Usually you are willing to give hugs, but occasionally you get stingy and will tell us no when we ask for a hug.
You love waving now. You will wave to everyone you see when you are at school and usually when we are out shopping together. You have your shy moments though. Those usually happen when you are some place new and a new person talks to you. You like to hide in Momma or Dadda's legs when that happens.
You love wagon rides around the block and always take one of your stuffed animals with you for the ride. Usually the bear. You like puzzles too and are very good at them. You play with all your toys regularly so it's hard to say if you have a favorite. You really love bubbles (outside and in the bath) and sidewalk chalk and really any activity that takes you outside. You throw the frisbee for Stella sometimes and sometimes play soccer outside. Sometimes you just like being outside and looking for birds.
You love watching Clifford and Curious George. We usually let you watch TV when you first wake up in the morning and after your nap while you are drinking your milk. Sometimes we watch them in the evening before we start getting ready for bed. You love both these shows and will run to the TV if we say George is on! You watch about fifteen minutes at a time before it's time to turn the TV off.
Drew, you are just the sweetest boy ever! You will still snuggle with us on occasion, blow us kisses and are starting to sign "I love you" and it's the most amazing thing ever! Your giggle is the best sound in the whole world and when you pat our shoulders during hugs, it just melts our hearts. Drew you are so amazing and we are so lucky to be your parents! We love watching you grow and develop and love you so much! Happy half birthday, little man!
