8 Months

Dear Landon,

Today you are 8 months old!  We are not sure of your stats because you haven't been to the doctor in the last month.  If you are not yet 20 lbs, you have to be close.

You are eating solids and love them.  You prefer peas over green beans and like sweet potatoes and carrots more than squash.  You like all the fruit that you've tried so far (bananas, peaches, pears).  You LOVE puffs.  You are eating about 4 oz of baby food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner now.  On top of that, you get 3 bottles of 6-7 oz a day and one evening nursing session (during the week, on weekends you are still exclusively breastfed).  You are very interested in what Drew is eating (usually honeycombs) and are interested in his milk/water cup too.

You are starting to get back on track sleep-wise but are still not as good as you were before our Ohio trip.  :(  In general, you wake up about 2-3 hours after you go to bed and eat.  After that you are fine until morning.  Mommy thinks you are still hungry, but also maybe something else is going on (teething?).  You are going to bed about 7 pm and waking up in the morning between 6:30 and 7:30.  You are taking 2-3 naps a day totaling 4 hours.  Most days you nap well at home, but still have trouble napping at daycare occasionally.

Little L, you have NO teeth, yet!  Mommy was saying that you would get teeth any day now from about June to September.  Since that didn't happen, she decided to stop guessing.  They will come through eventually.

You are crawling!  Now that you are crawling, you are unstoppable.  You do not stay in one place for very long at all.  When you are sitting in our lap, you try to crawl out - silly boy!  And you can sit up from laying.  This just happened this week.  You started clapping your hands this past month too! You are fairly silly.  You like to scrunch up your nose and make funny faces and noises.  Mommy also loves it when you turn your head and sometimes entire body sidewise to try to see something!

You really like your little taggie blankie and sleep with that at night.  You expect Mommy to put it in your hands after you get your pacifier after you are laid in your crib.  You also really love your big brother.  You are quick to smile or laugh at him when he's being silly and you patiently put up with his rough-housing you!  It won't be long before the two of you are wrestling each other all the time.  You also like watching cartoons and football.

Landon, you are so amazing.  It is so awesome watching you grow and learn and develop.  We can already see your personality budding.

Love you!
Mommy and Daddy
