Over Labor Day, Grandma Pat and her friend Karen came to visit us! We had such a fun long weekend despite the rainy weather!
We made a trip out to the St Arnold's Brewery on Friday. The boys were really good for the activity but got tired quickly. Landon ended up falling asleep in his stroller and Drew had a small meltdown. He spent most of the time playing with a small toy that he hadn't seen in a few months so it kept him entertained for quite a while. We also let Drew try (drink all of it) some fresh root beer. He of course loved it.
On Saturday, Drew had soccer practice so we all watched him. It was his last one of the season, and he did a really good job of course! I think he's ready for a break from it so he doesn't start it again until next year sometime. When we got home, we watched some football while the boys napped. After they got up, we decided to try Kemah Boardwalk even though it was still a little rainy. Drew had a lot of fun looking at the catfish and seeing all the boats in the water.
Sunday was just a lazy day for us as it was again rainy. We just stayed at home and played.
Finally on Monday we were able to get the boat out. We were out for a few hours and had a great time. We also had lunch at Boondoggles which is a requirement when boating with guests!
Overall we had a really good weekend, and can't wait for Grandma Pat and Karen to visit us again!
