We had a very busy weekend, but unfortunately I only took pictures for one activity.
Thursday we just took it easy and recovered from our NC trip the weekend before.
Friday, we took the boat out. It was a really nice day for boating, but it was a little windy. Drew didn't have as much fun as he normally does on the boat. We think he might have been too tired. He didn't want to get in the lake either which was abnormal for him! Maybe the waves in NC scared him a little of the water?
Saturday morning, Drew had his very first soccer practice! The program was a bit disorganized as his coach showed up 30 minutes late. Daddy and Drew spent the time waiting running around the field. When the coach finally showed up, practice began!
I was impressed with how well Drew did with all the activities. The stretching exercises were the most difficult for him, but he seemed to be catching on. Soccer is every Saturday for the next 7 weeks. I bet by the end of the session Drew will have all the exercises mastered!
On Saturday, we went to a friend's house for a pool party. It was another nice day and it was nice to spend some time in the pool! At first, we thought Drew wasn't going to get in, but he did and he had a lot of fun. He spent most of the time climbing up and down the stairs in the pool. We think he wanted to "swim" on his own and he was getting frustrated with us that we wouldn't let him. This fall we plan to start him in swimming lessons so maybe soon he'll be able to swim on his own!
Sunday was another relaxing day for us. It was really nice to have the extra long weekend. We had a good balance between relax and fun! Drew was pretty tired by Sunday night though!
