On top of that, Drew ended up having a double ear infection! I'm pretty sure he had it while we were traveling home, but since I didn't even know he had it until the doctor said so, I could be wrong. He's always so happy, it's really difficult to tell when something's wrong. This is good and bad.
We were able to pick up Heineken and Stella the day we got back. They were happy to be home! Drew was really happy to see them. The dogs always run around the house when they first get home and then they demand to be let outside. They like to make sure that their yard is the same as they left it and no other creatures have tried to move in while they were away. Drew was pretty upset that the girls wanted to go outside as soon as they got home, he wanted to play with them!
Drew was also really excited the next couple of days to see the dogs in the morning and when he got home from daycare. He really did miss his dogs. We knew he did because while in Thailand, he started saying, Dog. He had been saying that for awhile, but we weren't sure what he was saying at first. At my parents' place, there was a picture 5 dogs including Heineken and Stella. We realized Drew's first word was dog, when he found the picture, pointed to Heineken and Stella and said, Dog!

Drew still loves his books. He will often grab a book and then get into momma's or dadda's lap. I love that he started doing this - it's so sweet! Brian was laying down when Drew decided it was story time. Drew still tried to get into his dadda's lap though!
Santa brought Drew a wagon for Christmas. We had taken Drew around the house in his wagon a couple of times, but didn't get it outside before our trip. This week we've had unseasonably warm weather (yes!) in the 70s! So on Saturday we had a chance to take him on his first real wagon ride. The dogs even got a walk too!
Drew really liked it! He took a couple of his toys with him and he had fun holding on to them while we walked. Every time I or Brian looked back at him, he would give us a huge smile! He was having a lot of fun in his new wagon.
