Landon,
You are now 1.5 years old. Where does the time go?
Here are your stats (8/14/15):
Weight: 30 lbs (!) 95%
Height: 33" 85%
You are such a joyful little boy. You are full of smiles and laughs and just melt your momma's heart every day. You have a healthy appetite and there is hardly anything you won't eat. It's probably safe to say that you don't have a favorite food since you eat anything, although you definitely LOVE bananas and mac n cheese. You drink about 16-24 oz of milk a day, but it doesn't bother you to skip a cup as long as you are getting your meals and snacks.
You still nap twice a day! There are days when we skip the morning nap and you can handle that fairly well, but you love your sleep. You go to bed about 7pm and wake up anywhere between 6:30 and 7am. You recently started sleeping with a pillow in bed!
You are really starting to talk and say new words daily. You can say: more, momma, dadda, up, dog, cheese, swimming, ball (first word), bye bye, Drew. And momma swears one day you said elephant. You understand a lot as well. You are understanding commands and other phrases. If we ask if you are ready for bed, you will take off for the stairs. Or if we say its time to brush your teeth, you will head to the bathroom.
You love to read and will sometimes sit and read to yourself. You are still hooked on your taggies and often put one of the tags around your finger and carry it around that way. You are still so snugly and freely give hugs and kisses and snuggles.
You are running now and hardly walk. You can climb onto the stool. You can walk up and downstairs with help. You can get on and off the couch by yourself. You are always so busy and still like to make big messes. Right now you are really loving playing with the ball popper machine. You also really like dragging a small diaper bag around, and love when Momma declares a dance party. You start right away with your fast feet!
You love baths. You will come running when the water starts running and you refuse to get out until all the water has drained out. You are a little fish. You are also doing well swimming in the pool. You will kick your legs and move your arms while we are holding you. You love jumping into the pool as well. You jump in over and over and over again.
We recently had tubes put into your ears (June) because of the ear infections you've had. You did really well with the procedure and it seems like you picked up a lot more words after you had the tubes in. We think you appreciated being able to hear so well as you gave us a lot of hugs in the following days of the procedure.
You are a stinker though...you still demand for momma to pick you up especially in the evenings (but only on your terms!), but you insist that momma carries you on her hip instead of in the front and if she tries to hold you in the front, you will pull on her shoulders until you managed to scoot yourself to her hip. Stinker!
You are so amazing little L, keep smiling little man!
Momma and Dadda love you!
