We had a great weekend and Easter!
Friday, we all went out to breakfast at Cracker Barrel for something different. After breakfast, we decided to convert Drew's daybed into a full size bed. He had asked a few times for a bigger bed because he said his feet were almost hitting the end. We took a break from bed construction when Landon woke up from his nap and went to the park! It had been awhile since we had made it to the to park so it was nice to get there.
When we got back, we finished Drew's bed. He was soooo excited! He kept talking about how big his bed was.
After afternoon naps, we colored Easter eggs. Drew did very well this year. He dropped 2 eggs on the floor, but other than that I don't think he cracked any (compared to last year when he cracked all of them!). Landon didn't color any eggs, but had fun eating his cheerios and watching everyone else do all the work. We colored 3 dozen eggs!
Saturday was quite a busy day for us. We went to the community Easter Egg hunt in the morning. Drew was excited because he saw his daycare friend, Tristan, there. We did the egg hunt - Drew did really well, and Landon got 1 egg and a little plastic bunny! Then we saw the Easter bunny! I was surprised because Drew ran right up to the Easter bunny! Landon seemed into the Bunny until the Easter bunny went to pat his back, then he got upset. After the bunny, Drew had a chance to bounce in the bouncy house that was set up. Then we had to leave for soccer practice.
When we got home from soccer, it was nap time! We were all tired from the busy morning!
Easter morning, Drew was very excited to see what the Easter bunny left for him! He and Landon got a basket full of treats and found a lot of eggs! At first, Drew wasn't interested in looking for eggs, but once he found the first one he was into it. Landon found one all by himself too! He even tried to eat the jelly beans in it, but quickly spit them out. Drew got a new movie from the Easter Bunny so after we found all the eggs, we watched Rio. It was a nice lazy morning (filled with jelly beans!).
