9 Months (39 Weeks Old)

Dear Little Landon,

You are 9 months old, or 39 weeks old today.  That means you have been in this world longer than mommy was pregnant with you.

Here are your stats:
Weight:  21 lb 4 oz (75%)
Height:  27.75"  (50%)

You are eating very well, and love food.  Momma is still breastfeeding you, and you probably get ~24 oz a day of milk (usually 4 bottles or nursing sessions a day).  You are eating breakfast (4oz purees), lunch (4-6 oz purees) and dinner (4 oz purees).  You prefer to feed yourself opposed to being spoon fed purees.  You are very good at eating bananas and cooked sweet potato and avocado.  You like all of these foods too!  We also tried pasta and cheese and you did well with both of those foods.  And, of course you love puffs.

You are sleeping well again.  You are usually ready for bed by 7pm (thanks to the time change) and get up between 6:30 and 7 in the morning.  You are pretty consistently only taking 2 naps these days - both of which are generally about 1.5 hours each.

You are noisy and mobile and we love it!  Drew loves to scream with you and then you both will crack up laughing.  You are very efficient at crawling and have been all over the house.  Your favorite spot seems to be the stairs, and you also seem to like the fireplace.  Sometimes you are content to sit there and chew on some toys, but mostly you are an explorer.

The noises!  You groan, growl, scream, and squeak.  Typically you growl when you are sleepy (I think).  The screams and squeaks are usually in delight.  Although you scream when you are upset as well.

You are pulling yourself up and can stand while holding onto the couch or table.  You recently took two steps while holding onto Momma's hands.  You like pulling yourself up onto Drew's chair.  You also love your blankie and need that to sleep.  You still use a pacifier, but don't seem extremely attached to it.

You are still toothless.

You are wearing 9 months clothes although some of the pants seem tight around the waist.  Before long, we will be packing up the 6-9 months clothes all together.

Landon, you are such a joy!  It is so special seeing you develop and grow and learn.  It's also amazing watching you develop a relationship with Drew.  We can't wait to see what next month brings us (a tooth maybe????).
