Partial June Update

There has been a lot going on lately.  But I still managed to upload some pictures!

Here are the boys before school one day.  Super cute brothers.

We finally brought down the jumper for Landon to enjoy.  We noticed that he had been using one at daycare, and I looked back at this blog and realized that Drew was about 4 months when he started using it.  Landon really likes it and will spend a good 20 minutes looking at all the gadgets before he tires.

At the end of June, we took an impromptu trip to Las Cruces because Brian's grandfather (maternal) passed away.  We decided to drive and took the dogs with us as well.  It was about a 12 hour drive and the boys did really well.  We left about 8 pm on a Monday (after work) and drove through the night.  The boys slept the entire way, but woke up with each stop.  We had to make one additional stop to feed Landon but we still made it in 11.5 hours.  It was good driving through the night since the boys did so well, but we were all so tired on Tuesday.

There was a nice Memorial service on Wednesday and then a gathering at Brian's mom's house afterwards.  Since we were dressed for the occasion, we thought it would be a good time for a family picture.  This is probably the best picture we've gotten of Drew in a long time!

We decided to leave Thursday, early afternoon (to coincide with nap time) for the long drive back.  We debated but I thought we'd (at least me!) would be less tired doing it this way compared to driving through the night again.  The drive home was a little longer mainly due to the fact that we hit traffic in San Antonio.  The boys still did fairly well.  Landon had one fussy episode after we stopped for dinner, and Drew was also pretty tired but he was content to watch his movie and then fall asleep.  We eventually made it home at 2 am, and we used the weekend to recover.

Oh! And the most fun update of all is that Landon started rolling over (6/27/14)!  He can only go from back to tummy, but now he rolls over almost every time he is laid down.  He usually gets upset after a few minutes on his tummy though.  Silly baby.
