You are five months old now! You are so amazing!
You haven't been to the doctor since your 4 month check up, so we don't have your stats to update.
You are a sleeper! When it's bed time, you are ready and will get fussy fast if the process takes too long (hmm, this sounds a lot like Mommy too!). You are going to bed about 7:30 or 8 and wake up between 6 and 6:30. When you wake, you are ready to eat, but are patient with Mommy or Daddy if it takes us awhile to get you. You're naps are still irregular and mainly occur in your swing. Usually you will take at least one long nap of 2 hours, and then a few more shorter ones. It's totally random when you sleep at daycare, but once home you will take a catnap in the evening for about 30 minutes.
Your eating routine has stayed constant. You'll eat about 5 times a day for a total of probably 30 ounces. You get 3 bottles during the week each of 6 ounces and then Mommy feeds you twice in the evenings. You do not wake during the night to eat! We have not tried cereal or other solid foods with you and plan to wait closer to 6 months as long as your sleeping pattern continues. However, you do sit at the table with us when we eat dinner and you usually look as though you want whatever it is we are eating. You smack your lips a lot!
You are all smiles. Mommy's favorite part of the day is picking you up from daycare, because you always give her a huge smile! You like watching Drew and often follow him with your eyes. He loves you too and is often giving you random things or checking on you.
You are rolling over easily now from your back to your tummy. You have slept some on your tummy now, but not all the time. You are sucking your thumb at night and it seems you can find your thumb easier when on your tummy. You will still take a pacifer but definitely prefer your thumb. Usually you like being on your tummy. Just yesterday you figured out how to roll from your tummy to you back! It won't be long now before you are crawling too.
You enjoy your jumper! We started putting you in there a couple of weeks ago, and you really like it. You like looking at all the different things on it and can easily spend 20-30 minutes in there entertained. You still like your activity mat too and are starting to grab and hold on to the toys that dangle from it. But since you roll and scoot, you often end up off the mat now.
This past month you took your first road trip to visit Grandma Pat in NM! You traveled fairly well in the car and didn't mind all the new people you met in NM either.
You are starting to giggle more and more and it's just so wonderful! You are such an easy baby and just seem to go with the flow.
