2.5 Years

Dear Drew,

You are 2.5!  You have developed exponentially the past 6 months!

You are still a good eater, but you are showing less and less interest in eating dinner.  In fact, you will often remark, "I don't want dinner!" but then you follow with, "I'm hungry over there." Indicating you are hungry for something in the pantry.  Usually you will get one request and if you are still hungry over there, negogiations ensue.  (If you eat 3 bites, you can have something else).

You are sleeping well and have recently transitioned to a toddler bed.  You are not getting out of the bed until we come to get you though.  We wonder how long this will last.  You still sleep 11 hours at night and will take anywhere from 2 to 3 hour naps.  You nap longer at home/on the weekends.  Recently, we've learned that if we don't make bedtime, it's not the end of the world.  You are able to stay up later on occasion or skip a nap and usually only become slightly more challenging (fussy).

The biggest change for us was the birth of Landon. You love being a big brother and are so great with Landon.  You love getting his bunny for him and you often have to hug him and tell him good night.  You also like to rub his head.  The other day, you just had to get his belly button and this caused him to belly laugh.

Here are some of your favorites (assumed by Mommy):
Food: Yogurt
Movie: Lady and the Tramp
Show: Cat in the Hat (Wild Kratts gave it a good run though)
Color: Yellow (when asked, you said Green, but probably because Green means good at school)
Activity: Playing ball
Newest Word: Not yet

You are talking a lot.  You are our little chatterbox.  You like to determine which way we are going and will often say, "We are going this way?" in the car.  You also have a tendency to narrate things.  "We are parking in the garage?  No, we will let daddy park in the garage.  We will park in the driveway."

You will raspberry us back when we raspberry you.  You also like to tickle and get us and you are getting quite strong.  We are trying to teach you to be more gentle when playing like this.

You are so amazing, Little Man, and we love you a lot!
Mommy and Daddy
