Drew,
You are two! You are growing up so fast. You are showing that you are quite independent. You love being able to do things by yourself. With a little help, you typically make your own peanut butter sandwich! You get into your carseat on your own and have started to buckle yourself in although this can still be difficult at times for you. When Mommy or Daddy try to help you with something, you get mad and say, "I do it" and you are right, you can usually do it yourself!
Stats (will be updated on Friday after your 2-yr checkup)
Weight: 31 lbs (90%)
Height: 2ft 10 in (50%)
You are wearing size 5 diapers, 2T clothes and size 5 shoes.
You are still too young to grasp the concept of favorites, but here is the list that we would imagine you would tell us if you could.
Favorites:
Color: Purple lately, but you like all the colors
TV Show/Character: Cat in the Hat
Food: Honeycombs
Game/Toy: Puzzles, but you have been playing a lot with your new cars. Playing ball.
Word(s): Yeah! No. Heineken, Stella
You are so fun to play with. You love playing ball and are starting to pass the ball back and forth with us. You get mad when Heineken or Stella stands in our "field" and yell at them to move. But sometimes you will also just kick the ball at them.
You like your routine but are adaptable. Mornings, getting home from daycare and bedtimes are all pretty standard, but you seemed to have no problem moving into our new home this fall.
You give great big hugs and are still snuggly sometimes (mainly if you are tired). When Mommy gives you your bedtime hug, you wrap your arms around her neck and play with her hair. This is her favorite thing ever. You like watching soccer and football with Daddy. Sometimes you shout the wrong team, (Go Cowboys), for what we are watching (soccer/Liverpool), but you are getting the hang of it. You now celebrate the goals and touchdowns too.
You are still a good sleeper/napper, but you are a morning bird for sure. You are sleeping 10-11 hours at night and taking a two hour nap during the day. You like to sleep with your pillow, lamb, giraffe, and soccer blanket. And then get covered up with two more blankets! You still sleep with a book too. You try to climb into your bed (and so far haven't tried to climb out). I think you may be ready for a toddler bed soon, but Mommy's not quite ready for that!
We think you are getting ready for potty training too because now you tell us when you have a dirty diaper or that you will have one. We haven't started this process, but it's only a matter of time now.
Drew, you are just so amazing. You are full of personality and fun. You love laughing and this is the best sound in the world. You are such a joy and it is so fun watching you grow up!
We love you!
Mommy and Daddy
