We have been very busy for the last month. At the end of September, we closed on our new house. The next weekend, we all went to New Mexico for a friends wedding. We were able to stay in Las Cruces most of the weekend and visit Drew's grandma Pat. We were even lucky enough to let Drew stay the night with grandma while Mommy and Daddy went to the wedding! Eventually I will get pictures up of our trip but due to the move we are having internet/computer difficulties (of course).
Drew had a lot of fun for his sleepover with grandma. He really liked grandma's cats! Drew, once again, traveled very well. We were lucky enough to have the whole row to ourselves, so even though Drew was a lap child, he actually had his own seat. It was a good thing, because the three of us would have been crowded if we were limited to 2 seats. It's probably a good thing that this was Drew's last flight as a lap child. When we go to Ohio in December, he will have his own seat.
Last weekend was moving weekend. It was a long and tiring weekend. Drew was up a lot later than normal and it definitely took him most of this week to recover.
We had some great friends helping us move on Saturday. We weren't able to get everything moved, but we did get all the furniture and big items that day. We wouldn't have been able to do as much without our friends working their butts off!
After a week in our new home, we are starting to get settled. We still have some items left at the old house, but we are getting them out slowly and surely. Drew has adjusted to his new house very well. He really likes his new room. He also really likes the stairs and outside. We go outside daily now (it helps that the weather has finally cooled off some) and he likes to go up and down the stairs or the hill.
Drew is doing so well lately. He's been very fun and talking a lot lately. He likes to repeatedly say Bye Bye Momma, even when Momma isn't going anywhere! Momma responds with Bye bye Drew and sometimes Drew will repeat that and then crack up! He also started saying "Go away" - usually he's telling the dogs to go away (especially if he's having a snack and Stella's getting too nosy), but sometimes he'll tell Momma or Daddy to go away. We've been trying to tell him that this isn't very nice to say.
We will get some pictures posted of Drew and the new house once we get all our internet/computer bugs worked out.
